The Grand Park Events Center Opening Celebration is almost here!
The ribbon cutting ceremony is being held Friday, July 22 at 6 p.m. at the Grand Park Events Center to celebrate its grand opening, and it features an airplane flyover by two WWII-era T-6 airplanes from the 325th Fighter Group, otherwise know as the “Checkertail Clan.” Click here to view a video of one of the T-6 airplanes participating in the flyover. Westfield Mayor Andy Cook will give remarks and lead the ribbon cutting along with other state and local dignitaries.
The ribbon cutting is just one of the many events taking place during the special three-day Opening Celebration being held Thursday, July 21 through Saturday, July 23.
