The Westfield City Market has made some exciting changes this 2016 season. First off, it is now located just west of City Hall, 130 Penn St in an open lawn area. Also, the market now operates every Saturday morning between the hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 4 through September 25 except for the weekend before July 4 and Labor Day. There is even live entertainment from local bands during the hours of the market!
Jen Whitesell, co-market manager, said “It’s closer to Grand Park, which will drive lots of traffic. Also, being down at this new location will make people aware of all the different offerings we have such as restaurants and businesses they may not be aware of. It can draw more towards that.”
There has also been a change in the City Market’s vendors. Teresa Skelton, market master, spoke out, saying “We are focusing more on food, and we are not having a lot of professional service type of booths. Primarily, we want to focus on produce. The vision is a European faire with artisanal flair.”
Come out to the Westfield City Market next Saturday and experience the live music and fresh, home-made food for yourself, and discover unique finds such as Westfield Coaster LLC, Better Edges LLC and Rocket 88 Doughnuts! Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at City Hall lawn.
