This is my least favorite time of year!
It’s cold. It’s wet with either rain or snow. Or BOTH AT THE SAME TIME!
(How is that even possible, Mr. Weatherman?)
The good news is that there are still plenty of indoor activities here in town to keep me and the kids busy and out of the house, and they’re all right downtown Westfield!
First, there’s the local shops in Westfield that cater to a wide variety of interests. You can stop by My Father’s Garden for natural health and wellness products, and then try on your fashionable side at Bash Boutique!
If you want something artsy to do with the kids, hop on over to Westfield’s Board and Brush to unleash your creative side on one of your very own DIY custom wooden sign!
Hungry? Don’t worry. Restaurants in downtown Westfield have such variety that you might have trouble even deciding! From Americana to Italian to Asian and down-home barbeque goodness, a trip around the dining district will fill you up on a cold winter’s day. And if you’re truly adventurous, stop by the Grand Junction Brewing Company on one of their trivia nights to test your knowledge!
If you think some cold weather is going to stop the Downtown Westfield Association’s weekend farmer’s markets, you’re mistaken! All winter long you can take a little trip north to Grand Park where you’ll find some great merchandise at the winter market.
And hey, let’s say you’re made of tougher stuff than me and actually don’t mind getting out in the elements. Westfield’s trails system lets you connect to virtually every part of town. Heck, you could even make a day of it and take the historic Monon Trail all the way to Indy and back.
I hope that gives you a few starter ideas about what to do to keep yourself occupied during the winter months in Westfield. But what did I miss? Write me below and let me know what some of your favorite winter activities are in Westfield and I’ll check them out!
Stay warm, Westfield!
